On day one you will learn 9 secrets in mark making, creating shapes, and adding colors. You will experiment with artist tools and regular household items to make subtle and dramatic marks. Choose to work in all neutral or multi colors.
On day two you can learn how to add gold, silver, or copper metal leaf or Iridescent acrylic. Take home your original abstract work of art to brighten your interior space with the unexpected.
Level: All Levels – No Painting experience is required for this workshop.
Materials to bring:
- Two 9 x 12″ canvas panels
- White, Black, and other acrylic colors of your choice
- Gold, silver, or copper leaf and the matching adhesive OR an iridescent acrylic paint by Golden of your choice (faster and less messy)
- One Golden Fluid Acrylic paint in Zinc White
- Palette knife (any shape or size)
- 6-large paper plates
- 2 round container lids in 2 different sizes (metal or plastic is fine)
- 1-2 old paint brushes you can destroy, preferably one small and one large.
- Scissors
- Spray Bottle
- Paper Towels
NOTE: Please feel free to bring your favorite paints or brushes.
