Four Seasons of Aspens in Watercolor | One Day 4-Hour Workshop | Saturday October 7th, 2023 | 12:00pm-4:00pm | $80 + tax | 

When aspens change colors, we are transfixed by the shimmering leaves and white tree trunks. New Mexico’s clear blue skies enhance our experience. Light filters through the leaves and gentle breezes cause them to flash.

In this class, you will use ordinary tools to quickly create a forest of aspens. Enjoy exploring the range of color we see year-round.

Level: All Levels

Materials to bring:

• Fineline Masking Fluid Pen – FINE TIP & Masking Fluid
• 1 large sheet of Watercolor paper, Cold Press, at least 11.7″ x 16.5″ large, 140lb block or 300lb pad
• 2B Pencil
• 1 thin line black waterproof Sharpie
• Gum Eraser
• 2 Square and 2 Round Brushes watercolor brushes, small to large: 1 or 2, 4 or 6, 8 or 10
• 1 small tube of white gouache
• Spray Bottle for water
• Ruler
• Paper Towels

The following items will be provided by the instructor for in-class use:

• Professional grade watercolors by Sennellier (you’ll receive a small palette you can keep!)
• White masking tape

NOTE: Please feel free to bring your favorite paints, brushes, and any photos of aspens if you want.
