Unleash your inner artist in this vibrant and playful workshop inspired by the iconic dessert paintings of Wayne Thiebaud! This is the perfect class for anyone who loves rich colors, luscious textures, and a sweet subject matter. Whether you’re an experienced painter or just starting out, you’ll find joy in creating delightful, dessert-themed art using thick acrylic mediums. Walk away with a painting that’s sure to brighten any space and showcase your creative flair.

Materials (Bring to Class):

• 1 rigid painting panel. Size options: 5″ x 7″, 8″ x 10″ OR 9″ x 12″ (Do not use a canvas, it is not sturdy enough for this class. Your panel can be a primed piece of mdf, cradled board, or canvas panel – as long as it is a firm surface that will accept acrylic paint)
• A palette: This can be a plastic palette, palette paper, or 3-large paper plates
• 1 palette knife
• Brushes: Flat #4, Round #8 
• Gel Medium – Heavy Solid or Extra Heavy Gel Matte (8 fl. Ounces is plenty)
• Pencil
• Spray Bottle
• Paper Towels
  

The following items will be provided by the instructors for in-class use:

• Template, tracing paper, and visual instruction sheet.
• Heavy Acrylic colors: White, Black, Yellows, Oranges, Reds, Purples, Blues, Greens, Browns
